Unintentional injuries such as motor vehicle negligence, medical malpractice and occupational accidents are the most common reason for injuries. In 2017 the number of deaths due to the unintentional accidents were estimated to be 146,571 people and most of them are over the age of 75. The statistic shows that the number of deaths due to workplace injuries decreased a little since 1995. In 1995 the numbers were 6,250.  From that, in 2017 the number has come down to 5,200.
